Transforming a “pantser” into a “plotter”
Meant To Be has been replotted out – using the story structure suggested by K.M. Weiland, author of many books on writing, and several novels, and the author of the website: Helping Writers Become Authors. First, figuring out which scene is the Incentive point, major plot point, pinch point – etc, was hard. I used an app I’ve had for some time but don’t use: Scapple. It’s made by the same company that created Scrivener – the best writing software out there. Scapple worked wonderfully. It was a great tool, helping me lay out the scenes and fit them into the structured guidelines. And in doing so, found out there were some timeline issues in the first version. August and September went on for sixty days each!! whoops.
Now the fun, starting the rewrite.
