I really use “really” too much. I really need to curtail its use. Do I really need its emphasis in every single paragraph, really, sometimes in every sentence, written? It’s really kind of annoying, and does it really increase the believability of the point I’m making?
The real goal is for a smooth and flowing text, and I really, really, try my best to do just that. But when I really need to make a point, it just feels natural to use “really.” Oftentimes, during the editing process, the specific intent is to remove every single really in the text. But some sentences just seem to really need the word. In fact, to tell the truth, some sentences genuinely and truly require the word to just get the very point across. Even still – out it goes. There just really has to be a better way to get a point across without just using really.
So, in fact, my goal is just to never use ‘really’ again.
After that, it’s “just” – followed by “in fact”. I really mean it!
